Peter Kelly is a Scottish former professional footballer born on December 6, 1956. He played as a full-back for Newcastle United FC. Known for his quickness and strong tackling despite his slight build, he established himself in the team from the 1978-79 season. However, a serious cruciate ligament injury in November 1979 limited his appearances. He returned for the 1980-81 season but faced recurrent injuries that cut his career short, with his last game in October 1980 leading to new players' debuts shortly after.
