Peter Pit, born Herman Claassen (March 11, 1933 – February 21, 1999), was a Dutch-American magician. After various educational pursuits and working as a professional magician in the Netherlands, he became an entertaining magician in the United States. He won first prizes at both the National Magic Congress and the World Championship of Magic in 1958. He gained fame in the late 1950s through television appearances and by performing in the Ed Sullivan Show, ultimately becoming the artistic director of the Magic Castle in Hollywood.
