B. P. Sugandhar (1943-2017) was the fifth Bishop in Medak of the Church of South India, serving from 1993 to 2009. He followed Bishop P. Victor Premasagar and was consecrated by the Church of South India Synod. Sugandhar was influential in extending the diocesan ministry across southern India and beyond during his leadership. His tenure included roles in the Church of South India Synod, where he was Deputy Moderator in 2000 and Moderator in 2004. He passed away on December 5, 2017, and was commemorated by the Diocese of Medak.
