Peter Thomas Dunican was a British civil engineer, known for his significant collaboration with Ove Arup starting in 1943. As a principal partner from 1956, he was responsible for the detailed execution of Arup's ideas and the overall organization of the office. Dunican played a vital role in many major Arup projects. In 1977, he became Chairman of Ove Arup Partnership until his retirement in 1984 and served as president of the Institution of Structural Engineers in 1977/78. He was appointed CBE in 1977.
