Peter Gerard Vasely, born in 1967, is a retired rear admiral of the United States Navy. He served as the deputy director for future joint force development at the Joint Staff from June 2022 to June 2024 and was a special assistant to the Director of the Navy Staff prior to that. His previous roles include Director of Operations at the Defense Intelligence Agency and Commander of Special Operations Joint Task Force–Afghanistan. A Navy SEAL officer, he has been part of SEAL Team ONE and the Development Group.
