Peter Sacheverell Wilmot-Sitwell (28 March 1935 – 19 June 2018) was a renowned British merchant banker and stockbroker. He is best known for creating the 'dawn raid' strategy, allowing companies to acquire stakes in takeover targets before they could respond. Often referred to as a 'gentleman banker' by the Financial Times, he was recognized as one of the last of the 'almost extinct breed' of bankers from the pre-Big Bang era of the financial industry.
