Peter Zanca was an American physician born in New York City in 1908. He served for 25 years in the US Army, attaining the rank of Colonel. Zanca was a founding Chairman and Professor of Radiology at the University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio. He married twice and had five sons. He had a distinguished career with significant contributions to radiology, including the Zanca View technique for acromioclavicular joint injuries. Zanca passed away in 1976 in San Antonio, Texas.
