Petr Grigorievich Gorovoj is a Soviet and Russian botanist born on December 13, 1936, in Shkotovo, Primorsky Krai. He has been an academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences since 1997 and currently heads the laboratory of chemotaxonomy of plants at the Pacific Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry. His work focuses on the classification and chemical analysis of plants.
