Petr Kůrka, born on October 24, 1960, in Teplice nad Bečvou, is a former Czechoslovak and later Czech sports shooter. Competing for the high-performance sports center SKP Rapid Plzeň, he participated in the Olympics in 1988, 1992, and 1996, achieving his best result with an 11th place finish in 1988. After retiring from competition, he shifted focus to coaching, training the Czech national team for ten years until 2008 before coaching Australia’s national team. In 1994, he received the Jiří Stanislav Gutha-Jarkovský Award, the highest accolade from the Czech Olympic Committee.
