Petr Šimůnek is a Czech politician and businessman born on February 17, 1965, in Prague. He served as a Member of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic from 1996 to 1998 representing the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia (KSČM). Since 2012, he has been the first deputy chairman of the KSČM, and he held the position of councilor of Prague from 1998 to 2002 and again from 2010 to 2018.
