Petr Starec is a Czech figure skating coach and former competitor born on December 5, 1951. He gained recognition as a single skater, winning two Czechoslovak national bronze medals and competing at the 1969 European Championships. Later, he transitioned to pair skating, where he won the national title in 1974 and finished 13th at the European Championships. Beyond his competitive career, Starec now heads the Department of Sports at Masaryk University in Brno and has coached several notable skaters, including Michal Březina and Eliška Březinová.
