Petra Petersen was a Danish resistance fighter, member of parliament, and municipal councilor in Odense. Born in 1901, she became politically active through the Communist Party, serving as the first woman from Funen in the Danish Parliament from 1945 until 1960. A key figure in local resistance efforts during World War II under the alias 'Lars', she distributed illegal publications and created false identity documents. After the war, she continued her political career until 1960, and posthumously, a public square in Odense was named in her honor in 2023.
