Petre Corneliu Constantinescu was a Romanian artillery lieutenant general, known primarily for being the longest-serving general director of the Bucharest Metro. He led the company from its establishment in 1975 until the Romanian Revolution in 1989. Born on September 1, 1919, in Târgoviște, Dâmbovița, Romania, his leadership played a significant role in the development of the metro system in the capital. He passed away on June 1, 2004.
