Petros Vassiliadis, born in 1945 in Thessaloniki, is an emeritus professor at the Department of Theology at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH). He is an honorary president of both the Center for Ecumenical, Mission, and Environmental Studies (CEMES) and the World Council of Theological Educational Institutions (WOCATI). Vassiliadis studied Theology and Mathematics at AUTH and pursued postgraduate studies in Biblical Criticism and Biblical Theology at King's College London and the University of Heidelberg in Germany.
