Petter Rønningen (born June 11, 1939, died March 3, 2022) was a Norwegian leader specializing in Olympic work. He held leadership positions in the military and business, including as department head at Denofa-Lilleborg and deputy managing director at Sparebanken Østlandet. Rønningen was instrumental in bringing the 1994 Winter Olympics to Lillehammer, serving as deputy managing director of Lillehammer Olympic Organizing Committee. He was recognized as a world expert in Olympic work and received several honors, including the IOC Order and a knighthood from St. Olav's Order.
