Phil Gregory is a British ornithologist, birdwatching tour leader, bioacoustician, and bird photographer. He earned a BA in Geography from the University of Southampton in 1973. Gregory has led birdwatching tours across over 50 countries, focusing significantly on the avifauna of Papua New Guinea. He has published several books and articles on birds and serves as the editor of the Papua New Guinea Birdwatching Society's journal. His noteworthy works include 'Birds of New Guinea' and 'Birds of Paradise and Bowerbirds,' both of which received the Whitley Award.
