Phil Seuling was an influential American comic book fan convention organizer and comics distributor, active mainly in the 1970s. He is best known for founding the New York Comic Art Convention, which took place annually in New York City over the July 4 weekend. Additionally, through his company Sea Gate Distributors, he pioneered the direct market distribution system for comics, allowing them to reach specialty shops directly and offering greater choice compared to traditional distribution methods.
