Philip Holst-Cappelen, born André Simjak in 1965, was a Norwegian serial fraudster and kidnapper who gained significant media attention in Scandinavia. He was convicted of 120 crimes, imprisoned for 4.5 years, and had a history of escaping from custody. Holst-Cappelen was involved in the kidnapping of two Swedish millionaires, forcing them to transfer substantial sums. He changed his name multiple times and was eventually sentenced to 18 years in Sweden. He died on 19 July 2018 after a hunger strike while incarcerated.
