Philippa Mary 'Pip' Gould is a former New Zealand backstroke swimmer born on December 4, 1940. She competed in the 1956 Summer Olympics and set multiple world records in the 1950s. Notably, she won a bronze medal at the 1958 British Empire and Commonwealth Games. Gould was named the Halberg Sportswoman of the Year in 1957 and was inducted into the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame in 1995. She continues to swim and compete, with her recent participation in the Masters World Games in 2017, where she won multiple medals.
