Philippe Collet is a former French pole vaulter born on December 13, 1963, in Nancy. He achieved notable success in the 1980s and early 1990s, winning a silver medal at the Universiade in 1985 and a bronze medal at the European Indoor Championships and European Championships in 1986. Collet also competed in the 1992 Olympics, finishing seventh, and was a national champion multiple times, both outdoors and indoors. His sons, Mathieu and Thibaut, also follow in his footsteps in pole vaulting.
