Philippe Demers was a Canadian veterinarian and politician born on April 28, 1919, in Saint-Sébastien, Montérégie, Canada. He was active in the Union Nationale party and served as the Mayor of Shawinigan-Sud, Quebec, from July 15, 1957, to November 15, 1962. Additionally, he was elected as a Member of the National Assembly in Quebec representing the Saint-Maurice electoral district from June 5, 1966, to October 29, 1973. He passed away on March 4, 1999, in Shawinigan, Canada.
