He is a professor at École polytechnique and heads the quantum optics department at SupOptique. His research focuses on non-classical properties of photons and quantum information theory. Grangier has received multiple awards, including the Carl Zeiss Research Award and the Prix Ampère, and serves as a scientific advisor for SequreNet, a quantum cryptography IT company.
