Richard Phillip Hodson, born on April 26, 1951, is an English former first-class cricketer, cricket administrator, and businessman. He played for Cambridge University from 1971 to 1973, earning a batting average of 21.15 and taking 26 wickets. After his cricket career, he became the chief executive of The Oval Group, a prominent corporate insurance broker in the UK. In 2011, he was appointed president of the Marylebone Cricket Club, becoming the first Yorkshireman in that role in fifty years. He is married to Sally Ann Hodson and has a son, Will, who also plays cricket.
