Pierre Armand Jacquet (1906-1967) was a French chemical engineer and metallurgist known for his contributions to metallurgy, particularly the development of electrochemical polishing techniques. He graduated as a chemical engineer in 1926 and earned a doctorate in 1938. He worked in various research laboratories, including with Frédéric Joliot-Curie, and worked for the French Navy post-World War II. Jacquet published around 200 scientific papers, and also developed methods for non-destructive testing of metal surfaces. He died in a shipwreck off the coast of Spain.
