Pierre Conty, born on December 17, 1946, in Grenoble, is a French anarchist known for committing three murders with a firearm in 1977, including that of a young gendarme during a bank robbery with two accomplices. This incident is infamously referred to as the 'crazy killers of Ardèche' case in criminal history. He was defended by lawyer Robert Badinter and was sentenced to death in absentia in 1980.
