Pierre Numa Charbonnet Jr. was a vice admiral in the United States Navy, born on December 22, 1922, and passing away on November 24, 2005. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1941. He served as Chief of the United States Naval Reserve from August 1974 to September 1978. Previously, he held the position of Commander Fleet Air Mediterranean from 1971 to 1974. His distinguished military career earned him various honors, including the Navy Distinguished Service Medal and the Legion of Merit. Charbonnet is buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
