Patrick Walter 'Piet' Biesiadecki (1920-2000) was an American bobsledder renowned for his achievements in the 1950s. He clinched a gold medal in the four-man bobsled event at the 1953 FIBT World Championships. Additionally, Biesiadecki showcased his talent at the 1956 Winter Olympics, finishing fifth in the two-man event. Beyond sports, he dedicated his life to military service as a soldier in the United States Army, participating in World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War, ultimately retiring as a sergeant first class and being buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
