Pieter Cornelis André de la Porte was a Dutch military officer born on December 13, 1912, in Baarn. He served as a first lieutenant observer in the Military Aviation of the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army during the early stages of World War II. By the time of his disappearance, he had achieved the rank of captain observer. He went missing during combat on August 24, 1944, in Larat, Ambon, in the Dutch East Indies, marking a tragic end to his military service.
