Pieter Kok is a Dutch physicist known for his contributions to quantum interferometric optical lithography. He co-authored works on entanglement-based measurements and the book 'Introduction to Optical Quantum Information Processing' with Brendan Lovett. Kok was born in Friesland, Netherlands, and graduated from Utrecht University in 1997 with a degree in quantum theory. He earned his Ph.D. from Bangor University in Wales, specializing in linear optical results for quantum communication protocols. He currently teaches and conducts research at the University of Sheffield.
