He styled himself as Pietro III Paleologo and asserted descent from Thomas Palaiologos, a brother of the last Byzantine emperor. His claims include a fictional son named 'Rogerio,' which scholars largely dismiss. Despite his assertions, the documents he presented to support his lineage remain unverified and are considered non-authentic by experts.
