His work laid the foundation for future comic artists such as Willy Vandersteen and Marc Sleen. Pink played a significant role in the development of the Belgian comic scene alongside contemporaries like Frans Van Immerseel and Frits Van den Berghe. He passed away on October 28, 1992.
