He is best known for being the visionary behind the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and served as its first president. George operated the NWA's Iowa territory, based in Des Moines, and was recognized by Sam Muchnick as the father of the NWA. His significant contributions to professional wrestling earned him a place in the NWA Hall of Fame in 2014, where his legacy continues to be celebrated.
