Placid Njoku, born on February 10, 1947, is a Nigerian professor and politician. He served as the deputy governor of Imo State from 2020 to 2024, having taken office following a Supreme Court decision that annulled the election of the previous governor, Emeka Ihedioha. Prior to his political role, Njoku was notable for being the first Vice-Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture located in Abia State. His contributions to academia and politics mark him as a significant figure in contemporary Nigerian affairs.
