Pol Cockx, born on January 2, 1935, in Rotselaar, is a Belgian sculptor, teacher, and speech therapist. He studied drawing, painting, and sculpture at the Royal Academy of Mechelen starting in 1964 and worked in marble studios in Carrara, Italy, from 1970. Cockx has exhibited at notable locations such as Bonheiden and Mechelen. He received the first prize for renovation from the city for his work on a building in the Begijnhof of Mechelen, where he established his gallery, De Kromme. Since 2001, he has operated his gallery, De Beeldentuin, in Mechelen.
