Pong-dŏk Chŏn (December 12, 1910 – May 18, 1998) was a police officer during the Japanese colonial period and later became a military personnel and lawyer in South Korea. He was also the father of the writer Jeon Hye-rin. Chŏn's contributions spanned law enforcement and legal practice in a transformative period for Korea. He lived through significant historical changes, making his mark in history as both a law enforcer and a legal expert in the post-colonial era.
