Pontus Thomée, born on January 28, 1987, is a Swedish athlete specializing in javelin throw, competing for Spårvägens FK. He studied at Boise State University in Idaho from 2006 to 2011. Thomée participated in the 2005 Junior European Championships in Kaunas, Lithuania, where he finished eighth. He achieved fifth place in the 2009 American collegiate championships with a throw of 71.14 m, and later that year, he was eliminated in the qualifying round of the U23 European Championships. In 2010, he won second place in the American collegiate championships with a personal best of 73.60 m.
