He began his military career in 1981 and underwent flight training, graduating as a pilot the same year. Over his career, he trained in various military schools and served as a helicopter pilot, reaching the rank of TNI Air Force general. He was appointed as the commander of the Air Force Command and Staff School in 2014 and currently holds a senior position at TNI AU.
