Prasanna Kumar Patasani, born on April 27, 1946, is an Indian lawyer, philosopher, poet, and a prominent politician. He served as a Member of Parliament for the Bhubaneswar constituency in Odisha from 1998 to 2019, completing five terms. A founding member and senior vice president of the Biju Janata Dal, he currently holds the position of Member of the State Planning Board in Odisha with Cabinet Minister status. Patasani is also known for his advocacy of yoga, credited with promoting its practice in India and internationally. He is notable for having no legal cases against him.
