Preben Lund is a Danish journalist, author, and former prison officer born in 1955. He studied law and worked as a prison officer for the Danish Prison and Probation Service from 1981. Lund graduated as a journalist from the Danish School of Media and Journalism in 1996 and has since worked for P4 Midt & Vest, Greenland's Radio, and Danmarks Radio. He retired after broadcasting 30,000 news programs but continues to freelance. As an author, he has written several books, including 'Sindssyg i gerningsøjeblikket' and 'Statsadvokaten'.
