Preston Blair (1908-1994) was an American animator known for his work at Disney and MGM in the animation department. He began his career in the early 1930s at Universal studios. Blair worked on iconic Disney films, notably animating scenes in Fantasia and contributing to Pinocchio and Bambi. After leaving Disney due to a strike in 1941, he joined MGM, where he gained fame for animating the character Red in 'Red Hot Riding Hood.' In addition to his animation work, Blair authored educational books about animation and continued to be influential in the field until the 1960s.
