Preston 'Pete' Wayne Estep III is an American biologist, inventor, and science advocate. A Cornell University graduate, he earned a Ph.D. in Genetics from Harvard University, where he worked with Professor George M. Church. Estep has developed several technologies, served as Director of Gerontology, and is involved with the Personal Genome Project. He co-founded Veritas Genetics and appears in the Netflix series Unnatural Selection. Additionally, he founded the Rapid Deployment Vaccine Collaborative during the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, which promoted open-source vaccine development.
