Prince Gustaf Adolf, Duke of Västerbotten (1906-1947) was a Swedish prince and the second in line to the Swedish throne for most of his life. The firstborn son of King Gustaf VI Adolf, he was actively involved in the Swedish Olympic Committee, and served as the chief scout leader. He participated in the 1936 Summer Olympics and supported Finland during WWII. He married Princess Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, with whom he had five children. Tragically, he died in a plane crash in 1947, returning from a visit to the Netherlands.
