Princess Désirée of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, born on November 27, 1963, in Munich, Germany, is a member of the Hohenzollern princely family. She is the daughter of Princess Birgitta of Sweden and Prince Johann Georg of Hohenzollern. Désirée married Duke Heinrich Franz Josef Georg Maria of Ortenburg on October 6, 1990, but they divorced in 2002. The couple has three children: Carl-Theodor, Frederik, and Carolina. Following the death of Heinrich's father in 2007, Heinrich became the head of the Ortenburg family, and Carl-Theodor became the heir apparent.
