Princess Seble Desta (1932-2023) was a member of Ethiopia's Solomonic dynasty and granddaughter of Emperor Haile Selassie. Born in Addis Ababa, she was educated in England and actively engaged in philanthropy as President of the Ethiopian Women's Welfare Association. She married Dejazmach Kassa Wolde Mariam, with whom she had five children. Following the overthrow of the Emperor in 1974, she was imprisoned for 14 years. Seble worked for the welfare of women in Ethiopia and remained a prominent figure in her community until her death.
