Purna Chandra Thapa is a retired Nepalese Army Chief, serving as the Army Commander from 2018 to 2021. He was also the commander of the United Nations peacekeeping forces from January 19, 2015, to February 7, 2016. During his tenure as Army Chief, he implemented strict regulations to curb corruption, eliminate drug abuse, and establish discipline among both male and female soldiers in the Nepali Army. Thapa's leadership was critical in reforming the army's integrity and operational effectiveness.
