Šangpa Rinpočhe, born on September 12, 1960, in Dolpo, South Tibet, is a prominent Buddhist monk and teacher. Recognized as the reincarnation of the great yogi Shangpa Rinpoché, he received teachings from significant figures in Tibetan Buddhism. Appointed the main lama of the Karma Kagyü monastery in Pokhara, Nepal, he has played a key role in expanding the Karma Kagyü lineage in Singapore, where he serves as the spiritual teacher since 1997. He is involved in various projects to support monastery construction and Buddhist education.
