Fernanda Melendres, known as Fefê Torquato, is a Brazilian cartoonist and illustrator born on August 8, 1983, in Imbituba. She began her illustration career in 2010 and started working on comics in 2014, releasing the webcomic 'Gata Garota'. In 2016, she independently published the graphic novel 'Estranhos', depicting the lives of apartment residents through the observations of a neighboring narrator. After focusing on illustration for two years, she returned to comics in 2019 with 'Tina: Respeito', winning several awards for her work.
