Archbishop Didym, born Dmitry Dmitrievich Nestarov, was a significant figure in the Russian Orthodox Church Outside Russia. He served as the Archbishop of Saint Petersburg from 2008 until his death in 2014. Besides his ecclesiastical role, he was also a deputy of the Volgograd Regional Council from 1990 to 1993. His life spanned from February 1, 1944, in Livny, Oryol Oblast, until his passing on May 5, 2014, in Shushary, Saint Petersburg.
