Zhao Butang (February 1937 – January 19, 2021) was a renowned Chinese calligrapher, landscape painter, and educator hailing from Yuxian, Shanxi. He served as a professor in the Chinese Painting Department at Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts and was an active member of both the China Artists Association and the China Calligraphers Association. Graduating in 1958 from the same institution, he later took on teaching roles and mentored master's students. He passed away at the age of 84 in Xi'an.
