Petr Iosifovich Zialinski, known as Petro Zialinski, was a Belarusian historian born on December 31, 1931, in the village of Zakanalle, Lublin Voivodeship, Poland. He earned his Doctorate in Historical Sciences in 1990 and became a professor in 1991. Zialinski had a significant influence on historical research in Belarus until his passing on July 15, 2019, in Minsk.
